Guidance for Jumu'ah
Jumu'ah Schedule
Reminder to observe the following rules for Jumu'ah
Please review carefully the following guidance as it will remain in place for the foreseeable future and must be adhered to by everyone attending Jumu'ah and daily prayers.
** We are recommending that Sisters and Elder Community Members use their utmost caution in deciding to come for Jumu'ah. **
** Please have your mask on at all times and bring a prayer rug with you. **
Who must NOT attend
The above guidelines also apply to daily prayers and other services until further notice. The daily prayers will now be held in the regular prayer space with distancing measures in place.
Preventing harm takes precedence over bringing good
This is a well-known principle in Islamic Jurisprudence. Please know that these measures, while seemingly strict, are in place for your protection and for the protection of others. MCCGP administration is committed to safeguarding the health and well being of all patrons. Therefore, we will prevent anyone not adhering to these guidelines from entering the premises or ask them to leave.

While we take all necessary precautions and are deliberate in our process of conducting Jumu'ah and other services at MCCGP, please recognize that you are willingly participating in these services, with the understanding that it carries an increased risk of being infected. Therefore, you agree to assume all risk associated with such a gathering and release MCCGP administration, officers, directors, employees, volunteers and other affiliates from any and all claims arising out of or related to any possible harm.

- Arrival: 1:15 PM
- Adhan: 1:30 PM
- Khutba: Immediately after Adhan
- Salah (Prayer): Immediately after Khutba

Who must NOT attend
- Anyone with fever, cough, breathing problems, aches and pains, sore throat, or any known symptoms of COVID-19, no matter the severity, must stay home. In addition, if you have a known contact with a COVID-19 patient, you must stay home as the symptoms may appear ranging from a few days to weeks.
- Children who have not reached puberty.
- Anyone with chronic lung disease, asthma, serious heart conditions, diabetes, chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis, liver disease or is deemed immunocompromised.
- Bring your own mask from home and have it on at all times.
- Bring your own prayer rug. Take it back home after the prayers. Under no circumstance can the prayer rugs be shared.
- Make Wudu before leaving home. Wudu facilities will remain closed and access to restrooms will be restricted.
- Arrive at or after 1:15 PM. You may arrive earlier but will not be allowed entry until this time.
- Put shoes in the shoe bags handed at the entrance. Keep the bag with you at all times.
- Enter the prayer hall and take an open designated spot that is available at the front. Do not fill spots randomly. Front rows must be filled first. Prayer spots are clearly marked for your convenience while keeping in view of the need for distancing.
- Do not handle books or any literature in and around the premises.
- Once the prayer hall has reached capacity, you'll be directed to the social hall. Please follow the same guidelines while occupying spots (also clearly marked) in the social hall.
- Once the center reaches capacity (all designated spots are filled), the doors will be closed and no further entry will be allowed.
- Keep at least 6 ft apart from each other at all times, before, during and after the prayers. This also applies when entering or exiting the premises.
- Leave immediately after Fardh Prayers. Pray your Sunnah at home.
- Anyone not wearing a mask.
- Anyone not carrying a prayer rug.
- Anyone arriving later than 1:40 PM
- Anyone arriving after the space is at capacity
- Do I have my mask with me?
- Do I have a prayer rug with me?
- Do I have my Wudu?
- Is it 1:15 PM yet? If yes, proceed to enter.
- Do I have my mask on?
- Did I grab my shoe bag?
- I'm not shaking hands or giving hugs.
- I'm sitting in my designated spot on my prayer rug that is closest to the front with my mask on and my shoes beside me.
- I have grabbed my shoe bag and prayer rug and headed for the exit.
- I'm not socializing, congregating, having a prolonged conversation with anyone.
The above guidelines also apply to daily prayers and other services until further notice. The daily prayers will now be held in the regular prayer space with distancing measures in place.

As a result, MCCGP will remain closed for all activities including daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and Taraweeh until further notice. We humbly ask all community members to be steadfast and patient in the face of this hardship and avoid congregating on the premises. Further updates will be sent in due time and based on the guidance available from relevant authorities.
All lectures, Halaqat and Reminders will continue be available online on our live page and also on our YouTube channel.

We are announcing that there will be NO IFTARS at MCCGP this Ramadan. The Jumu'ah remains suspended until further notice and there will be NO TARAWEEH prayers the first 10 nights of Ramadan. Further updates will be sent in due time and based on the guidance available from relevant authorities. Please read the full text of this announcement here.
We highly encourage everyone to participate in the Online Ramadan workshops on Friday April 17 (8:30 PM) and Saturday April 18 (3:00 PM). They are free and open to all who register. Registration only takes a minute. Register for Friday session here and Saturday session here.

It is vital that our responses to this pandemic are informed by an elevated spiritual outlook. Read full text here
