MCCGP Winter Fundraiser
Friday December 14, 2018
7:00 PM at MCCGP
Dear Friend of MCCGP,
As’Salamu’Alaikum
I hope that this letter finds you and your family in the best of health and Imaan. On behalf of the Executive Council of MCCGP, I thank you for your enduring support in the years past. Your generous contributions, active engagement and continuous encouragement has been a catalyst for MCCGP’s sustainability and growth.
Our History
As you know, MCCGP is the first Masjid in the greater Pittsburgh area that has been purpose-built from ground up. Over the past 30+ years, MCCGP has been the go-to place for the greater Pittsburgh community. It has been a place for people to congregate and worship, a platform where people gather to learn, socialize, and engage with their fellow Muslims. MCCGP has and continues to play a vital role for our kids where they come to learn, mingle and play with peers, and feel proud of their Islamic values and tradition.
Our Facilities
Over the past many years, with your support, we have gradually built and improved our infrastructure to further our goals of making this a warm and welcoming place for all. Basketball court, children’s playground, heating and cooling systems, sound system, parking lot, and a myriad of aesthetic enhancements are a reflection of that goal.
Our Community
Having a well-functioning building has no benefit without a thriving community. We have diligently worked to improve our programming. Besides regular prayers and Jumu’ah services, we address diverse topics in our monthly Family Nights; offer daily Quran classes, educate our future generation at the weekend school; host, daily Iftars and Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, and Eid celebrations; collaborate with Muslim organizations in the area; help the needy through timely distribution of Zakat/Sadaqa; host fundraisers for internationally recognized charitable organizations; and promote interfaith understanding locally by actively participating under the umbrella of Monroeville Interfaith Ministerium.
Our Future
Alhumdulillah, recently, our community has been blessed with an accomplished religious scholar, Imam AbdulAziz Suraqah. Through his inspirational talks, motivating Khutbas, and uplifting leadership, we now have the opportunity to grow spiritually.
All this would not have been possible without your financial, moral and volunteer support. I wholeheartedly thank you for that. I also look forward to your ongoing support and Dua’s.
I personally invite you all to MCCGP’s Winter Fundraiser on Friday December 14, 2018. I hope that you will grace us with your company and continue the tradition of supporting Your Masjid. Inshallah!
