Joint Statement from Pittsburgh Muslim Community on the horrific attack on Tree of Life Synagogue
The Pittsburgh Muslim Community extends our deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims, their families, and all of our Jewish brothers and sisters. We condemn this hate crime unequivocally, and denounce all forms of hatred and bigotry. The Pittsburgh community is our family; what happens to one of us, is felt by us all. May peace and blessings be upon all of us during this tragic time.
We thank our law enforcement and medical emergency teams for their quick response and bravery. We also appreciate the support of our elected officials and faith leaders at this difficult time.
As the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) teach us, we will respond to evil with good. The Muslim community is raising funds for the victims and their families, including funeral expenses and medical bills. Please contribute at:

All people of conscience should join hands to restore the prominence of civilized values in our society. Please keep the victims and their families in your prayers. May God bring us together, protect us from evil, and gather our hearts together in harmony.
In Solidarity,
The Pittsburgh Muslim Community
